Ingredients:
4 cups of long grain rice
8 cups of boiling water
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, mashed
4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
salt to taste
Directions:
Rinse and drain rice. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a medium pot. Add
onion and sauté but do not let it brown. Add garlic, rice and salt. Stir
continuously, frying the rice. Add the water, bring to a boil and reduce
heat to low. Simmer until the water has evaporated. Check the bottom of
the pot but do not stir the rice.
