bars, have a lively atmosphere, many of them feature live music.
Cariocas (from the capital
of Rio de Janeiro) are well known for the festive style. According to
Brazilians, they actually host the greatest festival in the world:
Carnival.
Rio offers a variety of
choices in clubs and bars. Besides, the samba clubs (called Escolas de
Samba in Brazil) rehearse all year around. It’s a great option to go
and see one of the rehearsals, live the real thing and learn the samba
from the experts.
You can have a great time in
most Brazilian cities. But a greater variety will definitely be found in
the bigger cities. For the night lovers best choices will be
São Paulo,
Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Brasília, Curitiba and
Florianópolis.
